地處中國西南方的貴州氣候多變且地形崎嶇，自古以來被視為化外之地，使其成為少數民族的庇護之所，千百年來在此繁衍與發展，民族特有的文化亦得已傳承、延續。千百年的歷史，其所傳承的不僅是生活的信仰，工藝的傳承更形塑出其特有的生活智慧與文化。
此次展覽為臺灣長河藝術文物館黃英峰館長多年收藏之貴州黔東南苗族服飾、銀飾工藝品，並以「百年記藝」為題，向千古流傳的傳統工藝致敬，展覽透過不同支系工藝進行分類，藉此賦予觀者系統、脈絡化的認識，呈現出其特有且歷久彌新的工藝之美。
With volatile weather and rugged terrains, Guizhou in China has been a haven for minority groups and their cultures. Over the centuries, their belief systems and crafts have created unique wisdom and culture.
This collection of ethnic minority clothes and silverware pays tribute to classic craftsmanship. The exhibition places all objects into contexts and systems, so viewers have a better understanding of this timeless art.
